In Autobiography of a Yogi, Paramahansa Yogananda, founder of the Self Realization Fellowship, says,

"If you could see what is going on behind the screen of this life, you wouldn't suffer at all. Life is a cosmic movie (projected within the screen of consciousness). I look at the beam of God's light, which is projecting these scenes on the screen of life (consciousness). I see the pictures of the whole universe coming from this beam.

It is only because we identify with the play too much (as being real) that we are in trouble. Without shadows as well as light (contrasts) there could be no picture. Therefore, evil (contrasting with good) is the shadow of God that makes this play possible. God wants us to behave with detachment realizing we are only actors or observers in his cosmic movie."

In Memory of Dean Greg Ricks (1946- 2020): Greg's passing in Oct 2020 leaves a void in this world. His memorial showed how he truly lived his soul's purpose, to help people achieve their highest potential, beyond race, culture and socio-economic limitations. You will forever be missed and honoured by all those whose life you touched Greg. Namaste!

Advocate Iyavar Chetty, is a father figure who came into my life as I tried to find solutions to ending women and child abuse. I am ever grateful for his brilliant mind, compassionate heart and devotion to children.

A gracious Teacher we simply called "Akka" who led me (and other children) to volunteer as an 8yr old at a Home for Children and Elderly in our Indian Township. This first act of service changed my life - when I realized that even as a little child, I could make a difference.

My local Rotary Club and District: honored my voice as a young change-maker in the community and gave me the most life-changing experience to see the world beyond my Apartheid existence. Rotarians are a special soulgroup dedicated to "service above self" everywhere in the world!

United Nations Volunteers (UNV): connected me to other equally inspired volunteer webmasters, each of us trying to use the net as a force for good - and none of us even knowing the other existed until UNV brought us together.

Ashoka, Innovators for the Public - appeared in my journey like a biological family I never knew I had. This is the most incredible family of Guiding Souls and Helper Souls and Connector Souls..... I am blessed to be reunited with these souls in this lifetime.
